Mount Abu is the only one hill station in Western India's Rajasthan state, near the Gujarat state boarder. A sylvan hill station in a desert, it is a most preffered honeymoon spot. Set on the high rocky plateau in the Aravalli range and surrounded by forestforest, it offers a relatively cool climate and views over the arid plains below. The mountain was forms a Rocky plateau 22 kilo meter long by 9 kilo meter wide. The highest peak in the mountain is Guru shikar at 1722 m (5650ft) above the sea level. Mount Abu is the only one hill station in Rajasthan. By air, Udaipur is the nearest airport. It was 185 kilo meter away. Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat also nearest and Ahmedabad has better connectivity and daily flights connecting other parts of the country and is just 221 kilo meter away from Mount Abu. By rail, Abu road railway station is the nearest one. It was 28 kilo meter away. Mount Abu is well connected with roads of major cities of the country. Nearest national highway is NH 14 just 24 kilo meter away.

Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan.It was very close to the Gujarat border. It was a comfort zone for nature lovers. Mount Abu, is located on Aravalli mountains in Sirohi district. Guru Shikhar, the "Dilwara" temple and the 'Nakki' lake are some of the famous places to visit. Mount Abu was the capital of the British resident of Rajputrana during the British colonial rule in India. It was in 1847, that the British leased this place from the Rajputra king. The beauty of the hill station is very attractive to the travellers. The roads to the Mount Abu is well maintained. Travellers enjoy the journey also, because the roads give extra happiness to the travellers.

Guru Shikhar is the highest point on Mount Abu. It was one of the highest hill station in India. Mount Abu town hill station is ata an elevation of 1220 m (4003 ft).It has been a popular retreat from the heat of Rajasthan and the neighbouring Gujarat for centuries. Dilwara is a temple of Jains. Due to the rituals of the morning, the non-Jains will be admitted only from 12 noon. There is no special pass or thing to enter the temple. Upon entering the temple, which is full of marble-minded carvings, it begins to cool the body in this most heated state. The main attraction of Dilwara, which is composed of five temples, is of marble carvings and a 500kg gold idol.

The temple is almost 1000 years old and displays the beauty of ancient carvings. We can see the ancient carvings of Elephants, Horses, and dance forms in Dilwara. The designs of Dilwara is also completed very carefully by the artists. The Fifth Temple was built by the builders by taking the remaining part of the marble with out the permission of the ruler. Adhar devi temple, Shri Raghunathji temple at the guru shikar peak and Achaleswar mahadev temple is there.

The Achalgarh fort,built in the 14th century by Kumbha of mewar, is nearby and at its center is the popular visitors attraction of the Nakki lake. The Toad rock is on a hill near the lake. The Durga Ambika mata temple lies in a cleft of rock in jagat just outside mount Abu town. Mount Abu is called a honeymoon destination because it provide rich flora and fauna and is home to an affluent wild life sanctuary.
