Chilika lake in Odisha, india is very famous for the biggest salt Lake in Asia. And also famous for the availability of dolphins. Chilika lake is a brackish water lagoon in Odisha. It's flowing in to the bay of Bengal. It is the largest coastal lagoon in India and the second largest brackish water lagoon in the world after The New Caladonian Barrier Reef. It has been listed as a tentative UNESCO World Heritage site. The lake is home to a number of threatened species of the plants and animals. So in this article iam writing about the CHILIKA. Way to CHILIKA

Chilika is a beautiful place in odisha state India. By air, the nearest airport is in Bhubaneswar. It is 120 kilo meter away from chilika. By train, the nearest railway station is at Balugaon. It is 52 kilo meter away. By road, many bus services is available. From Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to Balagaon through out the day, Odicha transportation buses being the best one.

About the place

It is famous for being the largest salt lake. Spread across the Puri, Khurda, and Ganjam districts, the endangered Eravati dolphins of Chilika are world famous. Currently, there are around 140 Eravati dolphins in Chilika.. Satpada is located at a distance of 50 km from Puri. You have to go to chilika by bots. Situated on the east coast of Odisha, 72 km long, Lake Chilikha Lake is spread over an area of 1100 sq. Kilo meter. Most of the 132 villages in the vicinity of Chilika depend on the lake. Silica is also a great honeymoon destination.

Shrimp farming is the main revenue of the native people. Bird watchers are flocking to the place where many birds migrate to here in the change of seasons. Chilika consists of two main destinations. When you arrive in chilika from Sathpatna, the Irrawati dolphins and the beautiful Seashore will welcomes you. The second place, Nalabana, is home to thousands of guest birds. But during the rainy season, the island is often submerged.

Rambha is also a favorite spot for bird watchers. The small island of Barunakud, the temple of Varunabhagvan, the Bhabakundale Swar Shiva temple in Manikapattinam, and the Beacon Island are some of the best places to visit. The attraction of Silica is boating. Nearby Nalabana, Kalijay and Zemolo, Honeymoon, Breakfast, Birds and Rajahmsa Island attract tourists. Chilika is famous for many fish dishes. Boating in the lake, the sight of dolphins swimming in the lake is wonderful experience.
