Dal lake is an immaculate symphony of beauty and tranquility. Dal lake is in Srinager,The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is an urban lake, which is the second largest in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.It is integral to tourism and recreation in kashmir and is named the 'Lake of flowers'. and there is another name also for this lake, that is 'Jewel in the crown of Kashmir'. so in this article i'm writing about the topic the Dal lake. Way to Dal lake

Dal Lake is in Srinagar. By air, Srinagar International Airport is 22 kilo meter away from the lake. by Train, Jammu Tawi is the nearest rail head. During the winter season the journey is very difficult to getting there. And by road, Jammu and kashmir state road transport corporation operates fairly comfortable buses from Jammu to dal lake. And there are Direct bus service from Delhi to Srinagar. The best time is to visit Dal lake is in summer season.

About Dal Lake

Dal is one of the most beautiful lake in India. Dal is known as the summer palace of the jammu and Kashmir government. Dal is connected to any Lakes in kasmir valley. Shikara boats like the ones built by the British can sail through the Dal lake and provide tourist with a pleasant experience. There are small boats in the Dal lake that are very similar to the construction on those of the Victorian era. Srinagar the capital of Kashmir, is growing on the banks of Dal lake.

Dal lake was covered by the three-dimensional Subervan Ghats, that is sreedhara ghats. Gopadri is situates to the south and Hariparvat to the west. The most beautiful part of the dal lake was Nagin. Small part of water base also Nagin in that area. The lake covers in the area of 18 square kilometer, and is part of a natural wetland which covers 21.1 square kilo meters including its floating gardens. Boating and fishing is the main activities here.

Dal lake is one of the destination of mughal emperors in that time also. During the pre-Mughal reign Kings used to visit Dal lake in vaccations. Many of the building they built are still standing on the banks of the lake. A floating garden or a flowing garden is a special feature of the dal lake. From June to august the gardens are enriched with a variety of lilies. A floating garden in kashmir is called a raad. Located in the city of srinagar, the like is easily accessible to the tourists.
